Hello! I currently teach 5th grade English/language arts and social studies. I have experience teaching 4th and 5th grade.
I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education (PreK through 5th grade certified), and I obtained a master of education degree in both Instructional Technology and School Media Library. In addition, I earned an Educational Specialist in Instructional Technology from the University of West Georgia.
-What was first merely an interest in teaching has become a tremendous passion that I want to share with my students in the field of learning. My goal is to connect with each student in the classroom and teach him or her something new every day; I want to inspire every student. I believe it is necessary to not only have the passion to teach children, but to possess leadership qualities, exhibit behavior/classroom management skills, and have knowledge of curriculum content. Teaching children, helping to mold the minds of our future generations, is what I want for my life's work. I value each child I am allowed the opportunity to work with, and I am committed to aiding my students to strive for excellence.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, and our dog.
